Google opens its own online electronic bookstore in a bid to enter the lucrative ebook market hogged by Kindle-maker Amazon. Google's ebooks will be stored in the "cloud" and be available for reading from any computer connected to the Internet, or via applications on mobile devices such as smartphones.

Google Voice is finally available on Apple's iTunes app store after facing some hiccups from Apple since its initial submission last September. Google Voice enables users to link multiple phone numbers to one Google Voice number, and also make affordable international calls as well as send free text messages.

Who here has used Facebook's Gmail contacts search to look for friends? Well, as of last week, you can't do that any longer. Google has blocked Facebook from being able to access Gmail's contact list.
