ARM and GlobalFoundries Collaborating on 20nm SoC Featuring FinFET Technology
ARM and GlobalFoundries have announced their collaboration to produce system-on-chip (SoC) solutions based on the latter's 20nm fabrication process and FinFET transistors. This will help achieve better system performance and power-efficiency for a range of mobile applications.

Globalfoundries Achieves Full Independence on its Third Anniversary
Globalfoundries has become an independent foundry company on its third anniversary. The Abu Dhabi-based tech consortium Advanced Technology Investment Company (ATIC) has acquired AMD's remaining minority stake in Globalfoundries to become its sole owner.

Report: AMD Cancels its 28nm APUs from Globalfoundries
According to a report from ExtremeTech, AMD will shift its 28nm APUs from Globalfoundries to TSMC and drop its Wichita and Krishna APUs, successors to its current C and E-Series APUs.

Supply Woes for AMD Llano APUs?
It is rumored that AMD's Llano APUs will be in short supply due to poor yield rates of Globalfoundries' 32nm process. It is also estimated that this will persist till early 2012.
