Google just announced that it is acquiring Motorola Mobility at approximately $12.5 billion (or $40 per share). This puts the search company in a better position to propagate its mobile OS to the masses.

3D technology is fast crossing paths with mobile smartphones. Today, LG officially launched its first 3D smartphone, the LG Optimus 3D, an Android 2.2 device that comes with a dual 5-megapixel camera for 3D imaging and a dual-core 1GHz processor.
These days, it's no longer a surprise to hear of phones that are dust and water resistant. The Samsung Galaxy family gets one such member, dubbed as the Samsung Galaxy XCover, which is also shock resistant.
