Upcoming Firefox builds will be blocking third party cookies by default. Firefox currently has a "do not track" extension, but many third party advertisers simply ignore the "do not track" requests of the extension and leave a cookie behind anyway.

Mozilla has released version 12 for the public to download. At the same time, more adventurous users can try out the beta for Firefox 13 which is expected to keep the changes rolling on.

Mozilla has decided to use its popular internet browser, Firefox, to showcase the power of HTML 5 by launching a multiplayer game titled BrowserQuest. The game requires no addition plugins to function and is handled entirely by the browser.

Google and Mozilla have just sealed an estimated US$300 million-a-year search deal that will last for three years. In other words, the non-profit organization would have US$900 million of guaranteed funding for the next three years.
