According to Fudzilla, AMD has cut the price of its flagship Bulldozer CPU, the FX-8150, from ~S$360 (219 European Euros) to ~S$296 (180 European Euros). This 22% price discount will put the FX-8150 at the same price as that of a mid-range quad-core i5 desktop Ivy Bridge processor.

AMD is reportedly going to launch three FX series processors in March. The top-of-the-line CPU in this lineup is AMD FX-8140 (3.2GHz, 4.1GHz Max. Turbo) that is an eight-core CPU while the other two are six-core AMD FX-6120 (3.5GHz, 4.1GHz MT) and quad-core AMD FX-4150 (3.9GHz, 4.1GHz MT).

It looks like AMD isn't going to sit quietly by as Intel steps up their plans to conquer the ultra-thin-and-light segment of the notebook market. AMD will be introducing what they call "Ultrathins" (a US$500 direct response to Intel's Ultrabooks) which run on AMD's Trinity processor chips.

According to New Technik, AMD has revealed (and removed from) its official website the official specifications of the FX-6200 Black Edition processor, a new high-end desktop hexa-core processor with a clockspeed of 3.8 GHz and boost speeds of up to 4.1GHz.

Microsoft has released hotfixes for Windows 7-based and Windows Server 2008 R2-based systems that feature the AMD Bulldozer processors. These hotfixes are suppose to optimize the performance of Bulldozer CPUs on these systems.

According to a leaked slide from DonanimHaber, AMD is preparing to launch two next-generation Bulldozer chipsets in 2012; they are the 1090FX and 1070.
