Firefox Phones to Hit Market Later This Year, First Commerical Build of OS Debuts at MWC (Updated with Video)
Four hardware makers - Alcatel, LG, ZTE, and Huawei - are set to build Firefox phones, which will start retailing from 17 carriers globally, later this year. Mozilla has also announced that it is also demonstrating its first commercial build of its Firefox OS at the MWC 2013.
Nokia has added two new Windows Phone 8 devices to their current Lumia portfolio. Joining the flagship Lumia 920 are the Nokia Lumia 720 and 520.
The fifth, after Alcatel, LG, ZTE, and Huawei, to announce that they are making Firefox devices, Sony deputy CEO, Bob Ishida, has commented that their engineers are "currently working with Firefox OS Mobile and HTML 5 evolving technologies" for an upcoming device.
The NEC Medias W dual-screen Android smartphone prototype has been spotted in the wild again, this time at MWC 2013.
Samsung has just officially announced that the Galaxy S IV will be officially unveiled in New York City on the 14th of March.

The upcoming LG Optimus G II, expected to be unveiled in Q3 of this year, will reportedly be the first LG device to run on the company's own homebrewed chipset, according to Korea Times.

Samsung has been now rumored to choose to rely on a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor as opposed to its own Exynos 5 Octa processor for its upcoming Galaxy S IV phone apparently due to "power consumption issues and temperature problems" in the latter.

According to PhoneArena, LG is preparing for a 5.5-inch device that looks set to beat its competition out of the water while bearing extremely close physical resemblance to the popular Galaxy Note II. More importantly, it will be the first phone to use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 chipset.
