AMD Reveals Tablet Plans for 2012-2013
Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) unveiled its tablet strategy for 2012-2013 with the announcement of two mobile processors, codenamed Hondo and Temash. Hondo will be powering Windows 8 tablets coming out this year while Temash is tipped as its successor in 2013.

ARM CEO Not Impressed with Intel Mobile Smartphone Processors
ARM CEO Warren East said in an interview at CES 2012 that he was not impressed with Intel's foray into the mobile smartphone market. He added that ARM took Intel as a serious competitior; however, Intel mobile smartphone CPUs would not be as power efficient as ARM's offerings.
