HP Chairman Resigns Over Mismanaged Acquisition
HP chairman Ray Lane has stepped down from his position as head of the board of directors following the mismanaged saga of the acquisition of software company Autonomy. Two other board members are also stepping down, while investor and board member Ralph Whitworth is taking over as interim chairman.

HP has revealed two new Ultrabooks with touchscreens to improve the Windows 8 experience. The HP Envy Touchsmart 4 has the form factor of a regular Ultrabook, while the Envy x2 is a convertible tablet with a detachable keyboard dock.

Analyst Predicts Decline of Apple's Ultra-Thin Notebook Market Share
Analysts have predicted that Apple will lose their share of the ultra-portable segment, currently dominated by the Macbook Air, which makes up an estimated 49% of all Apple notebook sales. This prediction is reliant on the Ultrabook (as per Intel's specifications) segment picking up speed in 2012.
