The specifications of NVIDIA GK104 GPU has been revealed and the GPU is based on NVIDIA's next-generation 28nm Kepler architecture. Kepler was first announced at the GPU Technology Conference in September 2010 and was touted as the worthy successor to Fermi.

NVIDIA clarified a previous announcement made by NVIDIA co-founder Chris Malachowksky regarding availability of its next-gen GPU codenamed Kepler. The company stated it will not ship these GPUs in 2011 and the final products will only be available in 2012.
