Acquired by Google in September, Snapseed, a popular photo-editing app, is now finally available for download on Google Play for free. Likewise, the iOS version of the app is also free for now (originally US$4.99), and is also updated to include Google+ integration and some new filters.
HTC has announced the Butterfly for the global market.
Huawei has just confirmed that it is working on "an oversized" Ascend Mate smartphone, one that's positioned to be the Samsung Galaxy Note II competitor. The device has been alleged to come with a huge 6.1-inch Full HD 1080p display while running a 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.

Nokia today introduced the Nokia Lumia 620, the third and most affordable in its series of Windows Phone 8 smartphones at the LeWeb 2012 event.
Apple has filed a patent application for wireless charging technology based on magnetic resonance. The difference compared with most wireless charging technologies on the market is that Apple's patent covers charging from a distance up to 1m.

RIM has announced the availability of the Dev Alpha C device, one that comes with a physical QWERTY keyboard, for developers. To further complement a robust developer environment, the final BlackBerry 10 Gold SDK will be available for download ahead of its official launch on 11 December.
