HP chairman Ray Lane has stepped down from his position as head of the board of directors following the mismanaged saga of the acquisition of software company Autonomy. Two other board members are also stepping down, while investor and board member Ralph Whitworth is taking over as interim chairman.

According to sales data, sales of hybrid vehicles has gone up considerably in the U.S. and now has a market share of 4%. This figure is expected to double by the end of this decade.
In order to keep pace with Hotmail from Microsoft and Gmail from Google, both of which provide access to SkyDrive and Google Drive respectively, Yahoo has struck a deal which will offer Dropbox integration for their Yahoo Mail service.

According to data from Net Applications, market share of Windows 8, though increasingly steadily, is only at 3.31%. More than 80% of Windows users are still using Windows 7 and XP.
According to TechEye.net, NVIDIA's CEO Jen-Hsun Huang has been approached by headhunters who were looking to find Intel's next CEO. Although this report warrants some doubt, it is not unthinkable as we reported last month that Intel was seriously considering outside candidates for its top job.

Facebook sent out invites for an event on 4th April, this thursday, with a teaser to see its new home on Android. Sources told TechCrunch that Facebook will be launching a modified Android version with Facebook integration on the home screen of a HTC phone.
The IBM Roadrunner, formerly the world's fastest supercomputer, and the first computer to break the petaflop barrier of performance, has today been declared obsolete and will be dismantled.

Lenovo has recently announced on Twitter, that its business hybrid Ultrabook, the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix, is expected to reach US retailers in April. However, Lenovo didn't release any additional information regarding the unit's availability in other parts of the world.
