Sony Launches Its Slimmest Voice Recorder
Sony introduces the ICD-TX50 digital voice recorder.
Designed to capture thoughts or ideas on the move, the 4GB ICD-TX50 weighs only 50g and easily slots and clips onto a shirt pocket. Allowing up to 24 hours of recording, its built-in Li-ion battery allows for recording an entire hour on a quick three minute charge. It records in either linear PCM or MP3 format, sports an OLED display screen, and has a microSD card slot.
It will be available starting 15 Jan in APAC at all Sony stores and its authorized retailers.

With a thickness of only 6.4mm and weighing only 50g, the ICD-TX50 is Sony’s slimmest voice recorder yet. The built-in lithium-ion battery allows up to 24-hours worth of recording and a mere three minute quick recharge will give you recording time of 1-hour.
Sony’s ICD-TX50 also has embedded high quality digital microphones allowing crisp and clear voice recording in either linear PCM or MP3 format.
The highly functional 4GB ICD-TX50 voice recorder has a microSD card slot and sports an Organic EL (OLED) display screen.
The new ICD-TX50 will be available in Asia Pacific from 15th February 2012, at all Sony stores and Sony-authorised retailers.
