Sony Ericsson Arc HD (Nozomi) Live Shots Leaked
Waiting for a Sony Ericsson smartphone with a dual-core processor to appear? Well, you might not have to wait too long.
The upcoming Sony Ericsson flagship model, codenamed Sony Ericsson Nozomi, showed up in images looking all official (or perhaps rendered) in our earlier report. GSM Arena received another tip-off, this time in the form of live shots instead of rendered images of the actual unit. The Nozomi will come with a 4.3-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a 12-megapixel camera with full HD video recording to complete the multimedia delivery.
Deep down, the Nozomi is also reported to carry a Qualcomm dual-core 1.5GHz processor, which has the Adreno 220 GPU embedded within and 1GB of RAM for heavy multi-tasking. The unit will be loaded with Google Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, though we believe that an Android 4.0 update is highly likely, given the fact that Sony Ericsson is going all out to update its existing Xperia lineup with Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Nozomi supposedly will have a non-removable battery (though no details of its capacity was reported), depends purely on the 16GB or 32GB internal storage with no microSD expandability and a micro SIM slot. This design concept bears much resemblance to Apple's iPhone 4 and 4S, with recent devices such as the Nokia N9 and Nokia Lumia 800 following the trend.
Also known as the Sony Ericsson Arc HD, the device is rumored to appear at CES 2012. More images of the Sony Ericsson dual-core smartphone can be seen at GSM Arena.
