Some Solution for Apple iPhone 4S Battery Woes

Some Solutions for Apple iPhone 4S Battery Woes

People started discovering the "grip of death" after the release of the previous iPhone model. With the new iPhone 4S and iOS 5, users now realize that the phone does not come anywhere close to functioning as long as six to eight hours on a full charge as Apple claims. Having your smartphone battery drain away just leaves you with a really expensive but entirely useless device.

The internet however has come together and collectively pooled its expertise to root out the cause behind your battery life woes. According to iDownloadBlog iOS 5 is to blame for sucking your cells dry. To fix the problem all you need to do is go to your Time Zone settings (Settings > Location Services > System Services > Setting Time Zone) and toggle off the location services. Apparently iOS 5 is too free and easy when it comes to pinging the servers for location updates.

Another apparent bug exists with iOS 5's Calendar application as has been reported on Apple Forums. It seems that the Calendar application over zealously re-organizes your events and meetings constantly when turned on in the Notifications center. This is a heavy strain on your electrical reserves. For now the only fix is turning the Calendar application off within the notifications center.

Obviously, you should always be smart with respect to your iPhone usage and turn off wireless features, Bluetooth and 3G networks when not in use. Hopefully with the two new tricks you will be able to get more mileage from your smartphone until Apple chooses to address the problems with iOS 5.
