Quad-core HTC Edge Now Known As HTC Endeavor [Update]
*Update: Pocketnow claimed that the HTC Endeavor will be launched as the HTC OneX. The "X" is placed as a superscript for branding purposes. Moreover, the Danish URL htc-one-x.dk has already been reserved by a HTC subcontractor, suggesting the possibility of it being used as a microsite in future.
Pocketnow.com provided some incremental updates on HTC's flagship quad-core smartphone (previously known as HTC Edge) over the weekend. This is unsurprising of course, given that the MWC is just around the corner. Last leaked in November 2011, the phone is now known as HTC Endeavour although alleged specs will remain the same. Here's a recap:
- quad-core Tegra 3 processor
- 4.7-inch HD display
- 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 lens
- 1GB RAM / 32 GB storage
- MicroSD expansion up to 32GB
There's word that the device will also come bundled with LTE functionality, the latest version of HTC Sense as well as the Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OS. Most importantly, the device is slated for an official appearance at MWC later this month. This marks the gradual progression of mobile devices turning to quad-core processors with the ASUS Transformer Prime being the first to start the ball rolling. Other Tegra 3 devices are set to grace the stage as NVIDIA has hinted at earlier in its MWC invite, so be set to expect a horde of quad-core devices for your picking.
