Quad-Core Android Tablets Available By End of The Year

NVIDIA’s CEO and President Jen-Hsun Huang confirmed in a recent interview with Forbes that upcoming Android tablets this year would be running on the company’s quad-core processors (codenamed Kal-El).

According to Forbes, NVIDIA seems to be the first chip manufacturer to deliver the world’s first mobile quad-core processor. Other chipset makers such as Qualcomm are not expected to launch similar processors so soon.

We only started to see the influx of dual-core mobile devices early this year and now the market is going to receive its first batch of quad-core Android tablets. Since Google has confirmed that Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) will be released in October or November, it is possible to see quad-core tablets running on the ICS platform by end of the year too.
