Nikon Launches 12 New Coolpix Cameras
Nikon presents 12 new Coolpix cameras.
Simplicity with the L series - Coolpix L810, L310, L26, and L25
Equipped with a 26x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, the 16.1-megapixel L810 features a new lens-shift VR function and supports Eye-Fi cards, so images can be ported to a computer via a wireless network. Powered by the Nikon EXPEED C2 image Processing Engine, the 14.1-megapixel L310 offers a 21x optical zoom NIKKOR lens.
Both the L26 and L25 compacts run on AA batteries, and have 3-inch TFT LCD monitors. The 16.1-megapixel L26 and 10.1-megapixel L25 both incorporate a CCD image sensor along with a 5x optical zoom NIKKOR lens.
Style meets function with the S series - Coolpix S9300, S9200, S6300, S4300, S3300, and S30
Advancing on the Coolpix S9100 model which was released in the Spring of 2011, the S9300 and S9200 models integrate new technologies including a backside illumination CMOS image sensor and a lens-shift VR system. Both models provide 18x optical zoom NIKKOR lenses, and the S9300 is further equipped with the additional built-in GPS function.
The 16-megapixel S6300 is geared with a built-in 10x optical zoom NIKKOR lens, a lens-shift VR function, and a Full HD compatible movie function, allowing users the optimal balance between still image and video recording.
Slimmer than their predecessors, the S4300 and S3300 offer improved zoom function with the built-in VR system. They both feature a 16-megapixel sensor and a 6x optical wide angle 26mm zoom lens.
With a new user-friendly OS, the S30 was designed to increase communication between family members. Dust-resistant, waterproof to a depth of 3m, and shock-resistant, it is able to withstand drops from heights of up to 0.8m.
Advance with the P series - Coolpix P310 and P510
As the successor to the Coolpix P300, the P310 includes a 16.1-megapixel image sensor, a lens-shift VR function to combat camera shake, and the same fast maximum aperture f/1.8 lens.
With a greater zoom ratio as compared to its predecessor P500, the 16.1-megapixel P510 comes equipped with a staggering 42x optical zoom lens, lens-shift VR function, and a new GPS function.
Both the P310 and P510 offer backside illumination CMOS sensors with the noise reduction burst feature to produce less noise when shooting at high sensitivities.
Product availability and prices will be announced at a later date.
