Lenovo ThinkPad Helix Slated for April Launch

Lenovo has recently announced an April launch date for the Lenovo ThinkPad Helix on its US Twitter account. Lenovo also confirmed that the launch date applies only to the US market, and offered no further details regarding launch dates in other countries. The Helix had its initial US launch date pushed back from February to the second quarter of 2013 due to unknown circumstances. But Lenovo seems to be confident that the Helix will be able to make it for its April launch. It's still not clear when the Helix will be launched in Singapore, but if the Helix's US launch date is any indication, we might be seeing the Helix slightly after April (May perhaps?).

In case you don't remember what the Helix is, it's a business oriented 11-inch, full HD hybrid Ultrabook. It's first and foremost a tablet, but has a keyboard dock that converts it into an Ultrabook. You'd also be able to flip the display around, and put it in a "stand" mode, similar to that on the Lenovo Ideapad Yoga. It will retail in the US for US$1499, and will come with a Core i7 CULV, 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD. Lenovo also claims that the Helix is the world's thinnest 3rd generation Core tablet with vPro, making it one of the most secure tablets you can buy.
