iTunes Match Replacing Songs Which Contain Explicit Lyrics with Clean Versions

According to reports from the Cult of Mac and Mashable, songs with explicit lyrics will be automatically replaced by clean versions when they are uploaded to the iTunes Match service.

In tests conducted by Cult of Mac and Mashable, songs by Jay-z, Kanye West and Ice Cube were promptly replaced by their less-offensive counterparts once the tracks were uploaded to iTunes Match.

The catch here is that it seems music actually bought from iTunes doesn't seem to be affected by this issue, which may be due to the fact that information found in the tag file attached to AAC songs (the music format that Apple uses) can determine if a song has explicit lyrics, while MP3 tracks may not contain this information.
