Google Android Tablet in the Works

Even before the rumored Google Nexus Two is ready for deployment, word has it that Google and Verizon are already in talks to collaborate on tablets. Google has been toying with the idea of a tablet running on either its Android or Chrome OS platform, and with this new partnership, the stage is set for the first Google tablet to appear.

Engadget - Not much by way of detail here, but Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam just confirmed that his company is working on tablets with Google in an interview with the Wall Street Journal. Unfortunately, that's all we've got to work with at the moment -- McAdam said tablets are "part of the 'next big wave of opportunities,' but didn't say what OS the Google devices would run, just that Verizon's "looking at all the things Google has in its archives that we could put on a tablet to make it a great experience."

According to Bloomberg, the tablet should be running on the Android platform. With the upcoming Froyo update with Flash support, this new tablet could make some waves in the tech industry. Check out the full story here.
