Gigabyte Rolls Out Its Dual UEFI 7 Series Motherboards
Gigabyte launches their 7 series motherboards.
The new Gigabyte 7-series boards were first unveiled at CeBIT 2012 and these boards are officially launched now. Designed to deliver for 3rd gen Intel Core processors on the LGA 1155 socket, the motherboards incorporate the world's first Dual UEFI BIOS, a new All Digital power design, and the latest Gigabyte Ultra Durable 4 technologies. A dirty dozen of such motherboards featuring these exciting new technologies are ripe for your cherry pickings! Ten of them feature Intel Z77 Express chipsets while the other two feature Intel H77 Express chipsets. The former chipset is feature-rich compared to Intel H77 Express chipset which doesn't support CPU overclocking and multi-GPU setup.
Also, they feature the Lucid Virtu GPU virtualization technology, Lucid Universal MVP, which improves the visual performance of your PC. Offering switchable graphics also means that the PC will automatically switch between on-board Intel processor graphics and a discrete GPU depending on the application.
One of the Intel Z77 Express chipset boards from this new series is the G1. Sniper 3 that is the newest member of the Gigabyte G1-Killer series of gaming motherboards. If you prefer smaller packages, there is also the G1. Sniper M3 that is the first micro-ATX gaming board of the same series.
The other motherboards from Gigabyte's 7-series are those featuring Intel H77 Express chipsets. These boards are targeted at users who have less demanding requirements as this chipset doesn't supporting CPU overclocking. In addition, these boards only support AMD CrossFireX multi-GPU setup; hence, those consumers who swear by NVIDIA's SLI technology need not apply.
