Fuji Xerox Announces Cloud-Enabled Print and Scan Solution for Google Docs
Fuji Xerox launches the Print and Scan for Google Docs solution.
A new cloud-enabled solution which provides organizations with document scanning and printing capabilities, it directly connects Fuji Xerox's MFDs (multi-function devices) to Google Docs. This not only brings about convenience and efficiency, but also cut costs to businesses. Aimed at SMEs, the Print and Scan for Google Docs solution does not need any additional middleware or drivers.
This solution features four main functionalities which include a Scan-to-Cloud service that enabled uploading of PDF and XDW files and name them and Print-from-Cloud service that allows printing of documents in PDF, JPEG, XDW, and Google Docs formats as wel as the ability to search for documents, view folders, and display stored files.

New Scan-to-Cloud, Print-from-Cloud Solution in Fuji Xerox MFDs Unleashes New Business Efficiency and Cost-Savings
SINGAPORE – Fuji Xerox today announced the launch of the Print and Scan for Google Docs solution, a new cloud-enabled solution that delivers document scanning and printing capabilities to organisations. This solution realises new levels of convenience, efficiency and cost-savings to businesses, by directly connecting Fuji Xerox’s multifunction devices (MFDs) to the popular Google Documents online cloud platform, or Google Docs.
Targeting small-and-medium-sized businesses (SMBs), the Fuji Xerox Print and Scan for Google Docs solution does not require any additional middleware or drivers, saving cost and the hassle of installation, while enabling mobile driver-less printing, seamless document sharing and the flexibility of open work-style – cutting across different locations and time-zones.
The solution consists of four key functionalities:
1. Scan-to-Cloud service that allows uploading of PDF and DocuWorks (XDW) files and the ability to name them;
2. Print-from-Cloud service that allows printing of documents in PDF, JPEG, XDW and Google Docs formats as well as the ability to search for documents, view folders and display stored files;
3. Folder Operation that allows browsing, searching of folders and files and creation of folders; and
4. Track Jobs function whereby the ApeosWare Log Management can generate usage reports based on Job Log information collected from the MFD.
High in operability, the Print and Scan for Google Docs boasts unique features that reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and increase efficiency. The changeable print settings from one-sided to two-sided, or colour to black and white reduce unnecessary colour printouts, while the preview function and multiple-up function – simplex to duplex output at multiple pages per sheet – reduce paper consumption.
Users can also save time from having to input their login IDs each time with the Save Login IDs function, and find their target files effectively with the Search function. In addition, the solution allows scanning in file sizes of A3, A4, B4 and B5 and offers multiple languages including English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean and Japanese.
