Apple to Drop iPhone 3GS and Announce 8GB iPhone 4S on 12th Sept?
The Telegraph reports that Apple will very likely drop the iPhone 3GS once the company introduces the iPhone 5 next week and could possibly also add the 8GB version of the iPhone 4 into the lineup as the primary entry-level iPhone. This comes shortly after the news that at least two updated iPod versions and possibly a third one will accompany the iPhone 5.
According to the report, Apple will be releasing in three different capacities, most likely the same 16 GB/32 GB/64 GB lineup seen with the current iPhone 4S. While the 3GS will still support iOS 6, we feel that the three-year-old device has overstayed its welcome.
