You might not see the resemblance from the jump in model numbers between the FX36, FX38, FX48 and the FX65, but the bodies of all four cameras look almost exactly the same.

Nothing wrong with keeping the same product design if it works. And it certainly does from our usage point of view as all the controls were within easy reach and use. The FX65 has the same lovely wide-angle 25mm lens as the FX48 which lets you get wider shots in tight corners and wider landscapes, with the same 5x optical zoom as the FX48. Sensor size remains identical as does the 12MP imaging resolution. The larger 2.7-inch LCD screen is a welcome addition. The intelligent upgrades to the FX48 are all here; like face recognition and tracking. If everything's the same, why upgrade then?
