Windows Phone 8 Users Reports Random Boots and Battery Issues (Update)

*Update on 28/11/12: AllThingsD reported that Microsoft has identified the problem that is causing Windows Phone 8 devices to reboot randomly. An over-the-air-update is scheduled to be delivered next month.
Each time a new mobile operating system is released, it is almost certain that there will be software bugs and battery issues. Unfortunately, Windows Phone 8 (WP8) appears to be the latest victim.
According to The Verge, there are quite a number of WP8 users reporting issues such as random reboots and poor battery life on their HTC and Nokia devices. A thread over at Microsoft Support Forums has garnered 81 responses from other users about random reboots on the Windows Phone 8X by HTC.
Another thread, titled "Nokia Lumia 920 freezing" in the Nokia Support Forums also has several users reporting the same issue. Moreover, Lumia 920 users are also complaining about poor battery mileage. Upon doing a factory reset, some users found their devices to be stuck on a Nokia splash screen. HTC and Nokia are currently aware of these issues and are looking into them.
Both companies are not the only ones facing such problems after the release of new devices. When Apple launched the iPhone 4S in 2011, users were plagued with a battery-sapping iOS 5 update, a Siri outage and issues with their SIM cards on their phones.
