U.S. Windows Store Reveals Special App Offers

Looking for some apps to download this holiday season from the Windows Store? For those on the U.S. Windows Store, Microsoft has listed six apps that are on offer from now till January 31, 2013.
Two of these apps are games from Disney: Where’s my Water? and Where’s my Perry?. Each of them typically costs US$1.49, but both are now available for free.
Another great offer is The New York Times app. Until the end of January, you get free unlimited access (which would otherwise cost US$20) to news and issues at NYTimes.com.
Zinio, a service that lets you buy magazines in digital format, is also offering a US$50 voucher for mini-subscriptions and single issues.
Other apps with special offers include the EPSN app (free insider access) and Expedia (get reduced rates on select hotels).
It goes without saying that you must be running either Windows 8, Windows 8 Pro, or Windows RT in order to access the Windows Store to get these apps.
