Twitter Updates Android and iOS Apps, Hopes to Win Back Users

Twitter has just made numerous upgrades to its official Android and iOS apps. With these revisions, they hope to win back users who have turned away because of its lack of features.
One of the new features of updated apps is improved push notifications. Users now get notified whenever they are retweeted, or when someone else favorites their tweet, or even when they are followed by another user. Until now, Twitter only sent push notifications for direct messages and mentions.
Twitter has also improved the "Discover" tab. You can now also use this tab to browse an activity stream of updates that shows which Tweets retweeted or being made favorite by the people you follow and which accounts those people follow or add to lists.
Lastly, users have also commented that the upgraded apps seem to run smoother.
