Available in pink, white, gold, and black colors, the WX170 also sports a slew of shooting modes, including 14 scene selections, nine picture effects, Sony's Sweep Panorama mode for quick and easy panoramic photo creation, and a 3D still photo mode. The camera is able to record videos up to full HD 1920 x 1080 at 60i/50i using the AVCHD format. Still image stabilization is taken care of by Sony's Optical SteadyShot technology.
The DSC-WX170 will be available in selected Asia Pacific countries (South Korea, Hong Kong, and Gulf countries) from end August 2012. Pricing information is to be confirmed.
