Sony Announces Two New Balanced Armature Headphones for Smartphones
Sony introduces two new BA (Balanced Armature) headphones with remote control for smartphones - the XBA-1VP and XBA-2VP.

Featuring the same micro-sized BA units which were utilized in Sony's XBA series launched last Sep, the XBA-1VP includes one full range driver unit, while the XBA-2VP comes with a woofer added into the mix to deliver crisper vocals for the user. Unlike the previous generation which were made only for iPhones, the new headphones come compatible with BlackBerry and Android smartphones as well.
Encased in a double layered housing, both headphones ensure that ambient noise and sound leakage is lowered. The XBA-1VP uses Liquid Crystal Polymer and the XBA-2VP possesses a magnesium inner housing to ensure a smooth surround sound with a clear and distinct mid-high range. The special ABS material used for the outer housing in both headphones prevents any unwanted distortions and vibrations.
The XBA-1VP and XBA-2VP headphones will be available in APAC starting May 2012.
