Sales of LG L-Series Smartphones Exceed 10 Million Units Globally

Samsung is not the only phone maker that is reporting success this year as LG Electronics reaches "a modest milestone" for its mobile device business.
In its official press release, LG Electronics announced that it has sold over 10 million units of the Optimus L-series smartphones. The South Korean company takes this success as proof that there is a healthy demand for phones with distinctive styling.
LG - "This milestone demonstrates the importance of delivering smartphones with stylish design, comparative size of display and enhanced UX features," said Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company. "Whereas other manufacturers are putting all their eggs into a one-size-fits-all phone, our strategy is to develop mobile products for all types of customers according to their individual needs and lifestyles."
The Optimus L-series smartphones include the L3, L5 and L7 which were unveiled at Mobile World Congress 2012. The LG Optimus L3, L5 and L9 are available in Singapore since 5th May, 7th July and 8th December respectively.
Better days are ahead for LG Electronics as its Nexus 4 device is highly sought after by consumers today. In addition, the company will also be unveiling its in-house designed mobile processors at Consumer Electronics Show 2012 (CES 2012) as part of the company's strategy to gain a competitive edge in core technologies.
