Qualcomm GameCommand Heading to CES 2012
If you recognize Qualcomm as the company behind some of your smartphones' processors, you're right. But the mobile processor maker has more tricks up its sleeves, such as a game aggregator known as Snapdragon GameCommand.
Similar to NVIDIA's Tegra Zone, the Qualcomm app consolidates and highlights games that are optimized for the company's Snapdragon processors. Snapdragon GameCommand will initially feature over 100 Snapdragon GamePack featured games on both mobile phones and tablets.
For now, games such as "Fight Game Heroes" produced by Kaheon Gamestudio will be an exclusive item on Snapdragon devices running on Android, though we expect these games to hit the Android Market in the near future. The mixed martial arts game, which also features UFC fight Alistair "The Reem" Overeem, is expected to showcase the processing prowess of the Snapdragon processors. Other titles that will be headlining the launch includes Bunny Maze 3D from Eyelead Software and Desert Windws from Southend Interactive.
The Snapdragon GameCommand app will be available on the Android Market starting from 10th January for the US, followed by other markets at a later date.
