No Press Conference for Samsung at MWC
No Press Conference for Samsung at MWC

Samsung has always been well-known for having flashy events at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona (check out our 2010 and 2011 coverage to get a rough idea) and the announcement that it will not be having a press conference at the trade show next year might damper some spirits.
The smartphone manufacturer has previously confirmed that the successor to its popular predecessor (Samsung Galaxy S II), the Galaxy S III, would not be making its appearance at MWC and would be announced later this year instead. This doesn't necessarily mean that the company has nothing to show for at the event. Samsung is alleged to launch a new 11.6-inch tablet based on its new Exynos 5250 processor, on top of introducing its new Linux-based OS called Tizen.
With Samsung's commitment to "introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012" clearly stated in an official statement released last week, we should expect no less than that.
