Fitted with Intel®Processor Designed for Ultra-Thin Laptops, the LG T280 Provides Longevity and Function in a Chic, Ultra-Slim Chassis
SINGAPORE, March 11, 2010 – LG Electronics (LG) today announced the availability in Singapore, of the LG WIDEBOOKTM T280, a new notebook that is as mobile and reliable as it is stylish. Fitted with an Intel® processor designed for ultra-thin laptops – which greatly boosts both performance and battery life – the LG T280 is aimed at the tech-savvy trendsetter who demands eye-catching design and unbeatable mobility in a single package.

“LG is paying close attention to consumer trends, and those trends are telling us that when buying notebooks, people are equally concerned with portability, size, design, price, and performance,” said Dr. Skott Ahn, President and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “With LG now recognized as one of the leading players in the mobile communications industry, we are looking to cement our position in the notebook market by delivering exceptional products for our customers throughout 2010.”
Fitted with a 2GB DDR memory, the LG T280 delivers longer battery life by cutting back on energy use and heat output. More impressively still, it does this in a notebook chassis that is one of the slimmest on the market – 16.7mm at its thinnest point – and weighs a mere 1.4kg. Consumers also have the option of a 6-cell battery or a 9-cell battery, which allow for respective uses of up to 6.5 and 10 hours between charges.
“Analysts predict that portable computers are expected to contribute to 90 percent of global PC growth over the next three years. The projected growth of the market is a timely one, with the economy emerging out of the global recession
