iPhone 5 Sales in China Exceed Two Million

Apple's new iPhone 5 was launched in China over the weekend and the sales figures are in. According to Apple, over two million units were sold in just three days, setting a new record for best first weekend sales in China.
CEO Tim Cook was naturally pleased and had this to say:
“Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China. China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products.”
In comparison, Apple sold "just" five million iPhone 5 after its initial launch on September 21 in the U.S. and eight other countries.
