Huawei to Unveil 6.1-inch Smartphone at CES 2013

Close on the heels of its recent unveiling of a 5.0-inch device, Huawei has just confirmed that it is working on "an oversized" Ascend Mate smartphone, one that's positioned to be Samsung's Galaxy Note II competitor. Not contented with just sticking to the 5.0-inch category, Huawei's Ascend Mate has been alleged to come with a huge 6.1-inch full HD 1080p display while running a 1.8GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM.
BGR - "Speaking on Chinese social network Weibo on Wednesday, Huawei Senior Vice President Yu Chengdong confirmed that the company is working on such a device. The executive added that it will be more powerful than the Galaxy Note II and include a “cooler” design, slimmer bezel, better grip, more stunning display and longer battery life."
The device is speculated to make its first appearance at CES next year, which will also allegedly see the introduction of other phablet-like devices such as the Sony Xperia Odin/Yuga and new AMOLED display technology by Samsung.
