Huawei MediaPad Gets Android 4.0 Update and New Retail Price

Huawei today announced the availability of the Android 4.0 update for its 7-inch MediaPad which can be downloaded from the Huawei Device website here. Besides getting the new features of Android 4.0, the update also will support SMS and voice call features for the Huawei MediaPad.
Huawei Singapore will be providing an upgrade service at its Service Centre located at The Cathay for users who prefer professional assistance in executing this update. Do note that Huawei Singapore will be charging a nominal fee of S$15 for every device upgrade.
Consumers who are looking for an affordable mainstream tablet will be happy to know that the Huawei MediaPad will be retailing at a new recommended retail price of S$498 (including GST) without a subscription plan at authorized Huawei retailers. This is a S$100 discount off its initial launch price of S$598.
