Creative HanZpad Platform Announced

Creative and ZiiLABS announced the Creative HanZpad platform.

Driven by the 100-core ZMS-40 StemCell Media processor which is optimized for Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich, the new platform utilizes a Chinese OS. First mentioned here, the ZMS-40 delivers twice the peak media performance compared to the previous ZMS-20, running the larger array at a lower clock speed, leading to great energy efficiency and a reduction in power consumption of up to 50%.

Creative designed and developed the HanZpad GS (Golden Standard), an ultra-slim 10.1-inch Tablet Reference Design, which adopted the ZMS-40 StemCell processor.

The HadZpad GS series supports ZiiLABS’ enhanced Android 4.0 implementation that complements the standard Android offering with a rich suite of software including support including (but not limited to) ZiiPhoto for intelligent photo browsing, and ZiiCamera for real-time preview and capturing of photos with 3D effects.

Tailored specially for the Chinese market, the Chinese OS system on the HanZpad GS includes handwritten Chinese character input capability, document processing, file sharing and collaboration, just to name a few.
