<p>Lenovo has been very kind to send us an engineering prototype of their latest IdeaPad S10-2 for a quick preview of the updates made to the unit. Our view? Surprisingly, it's a whole host of changes in both form and design that almost makes it a whole new unit while the hardware mostly remains the same (except for a slight bump of the Intel Atom processor to the N280 from the original N270).</p>
<p>For the design changes, well, you'll have to actually view it and compare it against the original S10 to figure out what has been changed. Luckily, we had on hand a Lenovo IdeaPad S10 for this purpose. You'll note that the S10-2 is slightly wider but thinner compared to the older S10, though it loses the angular shape that defined the original S10 and made it unique. The S10-2 is also lighter by about 100g, and checks in at around 1.06kg. Below are our pictorial comparisons of the old S10 and the upcoming S10-2.</p>
