<p>The stage has been set for the first DirectX 10 graphics cards from NVIDIA to be launched on the 8th of November. These cards will emerge into a world where Microsoft's Windows Vista, the only operating system with DirectX 10 has yet to be released and the next generation games that promise so much are at best technology demos. Naturally, one can also expect superior performance for present games on these new cards but the premium for new technology will probably limit them to the usual early adopters.</p>
<p>For the humble enthusiast, they can instead turn to the present generation of cards, which has plummeted thanks to the intense rivalry between ATI and NVIDIA. High-end cards like those in the GeForce 7900 series have become almost mid-range in pricing. With the GeForce 7900 GS widely acknowledged as the sweet spot for NVIDIA high-end cards, the faster and more expensive GeForce 7950 GT has been somewhat neglected in terms of limelight. Obviously, the higher price is a sticking point for many. But for those who can fork out another hundred dollars, the GeForce 7950 GT is worth taking a look, since it is probably the fastest single slot offering from NVIDIA. This is especially so when one considers Leadtek's latest GeForce 7950 GT.</p>
<p>The Leadtek WinFast PX7950 GT TDH Extreme promises to be much more than the typical model. With the Extreme tag, you know at once that this is an overclocked GeForce 7950 GT and they have rarely disappointed us, going by our past experiences with these cards. Will the GeForce 7950 GT be the same overclocking trailblazer?</p>
