If you know about wireless, you'll know about Linksys. They were known for their powerful performance and if you wanted the best wireless, you had to go for Linksys.
However, in 2003, Linksys was acquired by Cisco Systems and has since been known as a division of Cisco. Now, Cisco has decided to kill off the Linksys name entirely.
From now on, you'll begin to see Cisco branding and no more Linksys. So if you want to get a part of the Computer/Internet industry history, better grab your hands on a Linksys wireless router while they're still around. After IBM ThinkPads went the way of Lenovo, and now Linksys goes Cisco, what will be next? The industry awaits...
Incidentaly, Cisco has also changed its logo last year. So the next time you see a different Cisco logo, it's not a pirated Cisco product, it's just the new Cisco branding.
