Sometimes, the best things in life are the little nuances that you get while reviewing a gadget, be it expensive, cheap, large or small. Take this picture for example:

Although the review has been done with a couple of issues back, I still keep a high resolution copy because it looks so industrially beautiful. Of course, resizing the pix does not do it justice, as each side of every key has a slight color variation that looks damn cool at night.
Or maybe I'm just too poetic.

Guild Wars may not have the same intricate lush worlds and PvE gameplay that WoW has, but one sector that they have them beat is their PvP gameplay. Last Sunday, e-Club Malaysia held a mini 4-vs-4 PvP tourney to commemorate the upcoming Guild Wars: Nightfall expansion pack. (More)

A couple of days ago, a colleague of mine asked about the benefits of using industrial monitors, and since many might not know of their existence, I might as well list down some of the pros and cons of these often-overlooked devices.

Pictured above is a Samsung 42" LCD display with HD capability. Don't be alarmed of the diagonal break in the picture, its a transition frame. More after the jump.

Nope, we ain't dead. We've been busy rushing the articles during the Deeparaya break, and then we had the double whammy of moving to our new office, which really ate into our blogging time.
The good news is that now that we finally got our connection all set up and we've already moved and arranged most of our stuff in the new office, we should be back to blogging on a regular schedule. Plus our new office looks really swell. : ) Look forward to more local IT and gaming updates from The Zone soon!

I went shopping at Low Yat Plaza the other day in search of a comfortable keyboard, and while browsing around, I spotted this =

Sorry for the blurry picture, as I a hurry to snap it and move along =P, but seeing this gave me a thought:
If Taiwanese 22" LCD displays that can display 1680 x 1050 pixels are priced that low, why are we still paying for relatively expensive China displays that are at most 19" widescreen displays? Of course, quality and the market's buying power have not been factored in, so if you guys can give this poor lad some reason why, it would be great!

Does this animal look cute to you? With its beady eyes and slightly snickering smile, it looks a bit scary to me, in fact. Truth is, it (or rather, he) is the new Toshiba mascot for their IT product line, and yes, he's a seal. Like what you have been reading on other technorati blogs, Toshiba has finally launched the new Pala-chan MP3 player in Malaysia, along with their latest notebook range and branding strategy. Why do you buy bigger hard disk drives for? Is it to meet your growing demands for storing precious digital pictures of your loved ones? Or to keep up with new applications that take up large disk space on your drives? Or...- oh hell, let's just admit it: we need bigger hard disk drives to keep our anime, TV dramas, and dirty movies. At least that's what Bill Watkins, CEO of Seagate Technology admits on a CNN interview:
"Let's face it, we're not changing the world. We're building a product that helps people buy more crap - and watch porn."
It's a brutally honest and candid opinion, so we'll give him for that. After all, what do you do with 500GB of hard drive space? Fill it up with hundreds of pictures of your pet bunny Fluffy? Now if you'll excuse me, I need to catch up on my weekly download of Wild n' Wet Weekend Getaways *cough*...

Nothing much, really, except for the fact that most of the time, stuff made from carbon fibre protects electronics just like how blackboxes and race cars protect their occupants. Other than that, Pioneer jas just launched five new head units to get your ICE fix, and had a big party while doing it. Enjoy the photo report!
now that's what we call cool - a deep red Pioneer sticker on a juicy carbon fiber vented hood on this Integra DC5
