Not many game companies can afford to throw an anniversary bash for a game, unless you're GameFlier. The RO 3rd Anniversary 2006 Celebration was held last weekend over at The Summit USJ, and I managed to wriggle my way there to snap some photos. Here are a few of them.
The Swiss bakery nearby was commissioned to bake this huge Poring cookie. It looks too cute to be eaten! But still... :D~~~

All aboard the RO Fantasy Ship!
Professional RO cosplayers posing for my camera.
Unlike zerotau, I didn't risk my life to take this picture. ;)
Moogles from the Final Fantasy series make a rare appearance here.
GameFlier was also showcasing a new casual MMORPG called Ghost Online at the event. It's basically a Maple Story clone, but with an oriental theme. The 2D monsters and character sprites look nice and bright, so it'll be interesting to see how its response will be like when it will be released here. They were running the game off the Taiwan servers, but I've heard that a local beta might be released sometime in this October/November...perhaps in time for Halloween?
Ouran High School Host Club cosplayers make a special appearance! Quick, hide all your girlfriends lest they fall for them! :p
RO players and fans eagerly watching the ROC 2006 championship live on stage.
Team Extreme of the KAOS guild playing in the Finals. They went on to nab the First Place. Perhaps the Devilruchi hat on the left brought them luck?
Group shot of the top 3 teams. Third place Team Kaos and second place Team Feeder are on the back row.

To view the rest of the pictures, I've uploaded them to a public gallery. Enjoy!
