Hey all, first off, this is the third and second-last installment to the tuning guide, with the Drift settings still being sorted out thanks to discrepancies when the patch came out. (Its harder to get consistent scores now :P) Anyways, a MERRY CHRISTMAS to all of you, and lets start the festivities with a new drag tune!

With this tune, you can expect drag times of this manner; taken at the Portland International Raceway in Battle Machine!
1/4 mile drag times

1/2 mile drag times. I DNF thanks to a little slip-up that made me false start :p

Here are the settings; but first, a word on Max Grip and Incredible Grip. Max Grip can be gained if you set the rear suspension slightly softer for the Supra, although a GT500 and Chevelle SS attains this quite easily but i'd rather settle for Incredible Grip during staging as there is no real difference in off-the line traction. In fact, the times you see above are made with POOR Grip (i was lazy, admittedly) so if you achieve 75% grip or more, expect faster times. Settings are all Stage 4, FYI.

Onwards to gearing settings - the most important aspect of drag racing since your faked engine power is pretty much the same anyways.

You will max out at 403km/h anyways, so might as well tune the gears to reach 403 in the shortest time possible....with this gearing, I'm hitting 403 for at least the last 2 seconds of the run for 1/4mile races. Same gearing goes on the car for 1/2 mile since it runs 1/4 pretty fast for a regular car without methanol and full N20 and 1000bhp from start to finish. In comparision, Top Fuel dragsters hit approximately 6000bhp. they finish a 1/4 mile in 'only' 5 secs.
Ahhh the engine....max up everything since you'll be running high revs all the time. In real world, your engine would blow from the high boost and faster timing although if you were using diesel, this wouldn't happen.

Suspension wise, you'll only need to set everything to hard - if you want easier ways to play the grip mini game, then set the rear end a tad softer. Otherwise, these are THE MOST IMPORTANT SETTINGS WHEN RUNNING DRAG. Or else you'll just sway from one end to the other and flip and die. Seriously.

With these settings, the notoriously tail-happy Supra is docile and will run true like a straight arrow. Don't believe me?
aaand there's all to running a speedy drag car. Oh yeah, be sure to use the last spoiler "gentera 403" if you wanna be fast. Also use the 'Autosculpt' bodykit - it offers one of the least roling resistances of the bodykits. Otherwise, try running a stock body. Lastly, here are the timings I achieved when the car is tuned according to my settings. :D Enjoy!

drag settings are almost the same save for your gearing as the charger iirc has only 5 gears. should be easier in fact, bearing in mind that 5-sec real world dragsters only need 3

can i ask howd you max out the power of your supra? =(
i cant get it to level 4. =(
i have all my parts set to stage 4 but the power level is still on level 3. advice please? =(

5.99 on a supra? is it the PC version or the PS3/Xbox 360 version? :P console speeds are faster than the PC.
my power is still on level 3. the car isn't any faster than a zonda, admittedly, but it still is one heck of a car.
you can set the suspension to hard - did you even read the text?

how can i improve my 18M (60foot) time?
i am running consistant 1.07s but i would like to beat 1.00 if it is possible?

You can try and lower your gear ratios for the first 2 gears; but then you'll have to tune the rest of the ratios too! Have fun!

What pressure should i have in my tiers? and thanks for your guides man, i have now completed the game thanks to your drift and grip tunes :) really helped me. would really like to know tire pressure for the dragtune and the other stuff that is adjustable there, i know you say set the suspension to hard but does that involve setting rollbars to stiff and tire pressure to max? sorry if I'm being a noob here :)

no chance of any tips for a Camaro SS then? I heard rumors that they can do 1/4 mile in about 5.5 seconds...
I am sure allot of people would appreciates it if you would do the same thing for a charger in drag mode as it is the 2nd most popular car for the drag mode after supra
