Want to be your own entrepreneur? Animax will be holding a contest for budding entrepreneurs to showcase their talents and skills. The contest "I wanna be an Entrepreneur!" is pretty straightforward: submit a business proposal related to "youth interest products and services" and you stand a chance to be one of 5 people selected and given a seed fund of RM300.You have to hurry, though, as the closing submission date is this Friday, 27th June 2008.

5 June 2008, Kuala Lumpur – Is one ever too young to start a business? 24 year-old Mark Zuckerberg, creator of Facebook, and 25 year-old Joel Neoh, founder of YouthMalaysia.com certainly did not think so. Now Animax is giving Malaysian youths the chance to showcase their entrepreneurship with the first-ever ‘I Wanna Be An Entrepreneur!’ contest!

As the perfect platform for Malaysian youths to demonstrate their creative enterprising talent, Animax’s ‘I Wanna Be An Entrepreneur!’ contest invites the submission of business proposals to offer youth interest products and services. To be held in August 2008 amidst Malaysia’s celebrations of its 51^st year of independence, the ‘I Wanna Be An Entrepreneur’ contest is part of the Animax Youth Festival spotlighting the nation’s new generation of youths. The entrepreneurship contest headlines a series of interactive activities lined up for anime enthusiasts and youths at the Animax Youth Festival as winners will have the chance to realize their creative money-making plans at the event.

To be judged by the Animax team based on factors including innovation, growth potential, realism, results & measurability, as well as targets, five business proposals will be selected and awarded a seed fund of RM300.00 each. Winners will be responsible for establishing the setup in the allocated 3m by 3m space at the Animax Youth Festival as well as managing sales and promotional activities for their businesses.

Open to all youths residing in Malaysia aged 15-25, budding entrepreneurs can join                  ‘I Wanna Be An Entrepreneur!’ as an individual or in a group of not more than three members. Starting from 6 June 2008, participants can submit their entries via snail mail or online, with contest details including rules, eligibility and submission available at the Animax Youth Festival website at http://www.animax-asia.com/ or http://animaxyouthfestival.thestar.com.my/. Closing date for submission is 27 June 2008, with winners will to be announced on 4 July 2008.
