Hello everyone and welcome to the news.....and in today's news, a Mr. Dylan Stephen Jayne has sued Google, the search engine (in case you didn't know) for a paltry sum of USD$5 billion. He sued Googledue to this, "I, Dylan Stephen Jayne, plaintiff, has [sic] a social security number that when the social security number is turned upside down in its entirety it is a scrambled code that does spell the name Google®."

Great. The five-page handwritten claim, the first page is what you see here, describes in entirety why he should get the $5 Bil and why other news outlets should not report on the outrageous court case, if there ever was one!

Our office has been inundated with mooncakes boxes now that it's the mooncake festival. Favorite flavor so far? Still the classic lotus with single yolk. The most interesting flavor we got so far was a green tea mooncake with a milk core.
When we received this box from AMD recently with the Opteron Processor image on it, we thought a quad core processor lay inside. Instead 4 mini mooncakes greeted our eyes. Oh well, they're still equally sweet. *munch*

If you found your bank account whining after buying Guitar Hero and Guitar Hero II, better start saving now because the Rock Band price and bundle has finally been confirmed. Rock Band will be released for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 23 with a premium figure of US$170 (~RM580). PS2 owners will have to wait till December 10 but their bundle will be US$10 cheaper.
So what do you get with the bundle? *deep breath* One Rock Band game, one guitar, one set of wired drums, and one wired microphone. If you have a preferred instrument in mind and don’t want to buy the whole set, there are regular versions of the game which comes bundled with a single accessory. The cheapest version comes with the mike at US$30, followed by the guitar bundle at US$60 (wired for Xbox 360, but a separate wireless version will cost US$80), while the wired drums bundle are maxed out at US$80.
If you do the math, you don’t really save anything if you were to buy the complete Rock Band game bundle. You’ll only just save the hassle of having to own 3 copies of the game (not to mention the separate shipping costs!). With the game now just a month away, it’s time to start penny-pinching and stocking up on Maggi Mee!

Okay, not exactly IT related but Mainichi Daily News have reported that Hollywood is planning a live action movie based on the Dragonball series, with two of the cast members already confirmed for the movie. Copied and pasted from the original source...
Fox said in a statement issued Wednesday in Hong Kong that local comedian Stephen Chow will produce the live action movie "Dragonball" and James Wong, a former writer for the TV series "The X-Files" and director of "Final Destination," will direct.
Chow's credits include "Shaolin Soccer" and "Kung Fu Hustle."
Fox said Justin Chatwin, who played the son of Tom Cruise's character in "War of the Worlds," will portray the lead character Goku and James Marsters is cast as Goku's main enemy, Piccolo.
Marsters played the vampire Spike on the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."
"Dragonball" revolves around Goku's quest to protect Earth from evil forces who want to take over the planet and control mystical objects known as "dragonballs."
Fox said the film, whose budget was not announced, will start shooting later this year and will be released worldwide on Aug. 15, 2008.
Oh God. Oh. My. God. I don't know whether I want to see this train wreck or not, but I'm looking forward to how they're going to incorporate live action Super Saiyan hair when Goku powers up. That scene alone will be EPIC.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is the first and only Western Digital terabyte hard disk drive in Malaysia and we won it during their Green Power Hard Drive launch this morning! The Green Power range of hard disk drives gives up to 40% energy savings and they come in 500GB, 750GB, and 1 Terabyte flavors. Unfortunately I didn't win it but my colleague who did asked me to pose since I'm less scrawny than him. ;)

That’s right: the final chapter of Solid Snake’s last stand will also be launched in Malaysia this coming June. I’ve been informed by Play Interactive Software Sdn Bhd, the official distributor for Konami titles in Malaysia, that Malaysians will get to enjoy the game a day early with the launch taking place at TecAsia, Plaza Lowyat Level 4 on 11th June 2008 from 7:30 p.m. to 12 midnight. There will be a midnight pre-order sale with activities planned from noon to evening, until the official launch of the game.
Anyone going? I’m going to bring and wear a cardboard box for yucks.

Meeting Masakazu Morita in person, interviewing him, and then getting his autograph: Priceless
Masakazu Morita is an awesome person to meet in real life. He's so polite and humble that it's hard to imagine that he's the same person to voice Ichigo in Bleach. I may have never watched the series before, but seeing how open and friendly Morita-san is, he's made a new fan out of me.
