Surprise, surprise! When we thought that were were one of the last countries to recieve cool gadgets, Samsung relieves us of our gadget thirst and launched the K5 just about a week ago. Undoubtedly one of the cooler MP3 players to own, it sports touch-sensitive keys, an OLED display, sizes in 2GB and 4GB, super sound quality, and built-in speakers to boot!

The YP-K5 in depth:

Bass-enhanced earphones - although looking a little wierd, these headphones actually enhances bass without sacrificing the rest of the tonal range! Wearing them is another thing however, I tried it, and it doesnt seem to latch onto my ears.

DNSe Surround Sound - Another form of the DNSe sound processing, it makes your tunes much more naturally-sounding, and breaks them into several virtual channels. The process makes it appear that your tunes are coming from several sources, which is not too bad, actually, but first-timers might get disoriented.

Magnesium body - add water and watch the reaction! Nah, I'm joking as it's not built to do that. Instead, the lightweight body gives you surprising mobility despite the added speakers, and apparently the K5 can support the weight of a single car tyre, although we strongly advise you not to experiment on your own K5.

Photo displaying capabilities - Having a photo playback feature, you can also share your memories with your loved ones - not only your songs. Store up to 25000 images and view them on the 43mm large screen, although the low color gamut might not seem too fine with vibrant photos.
