Well, I'm finally back from Shanghai and not surprisingly I find myself surrounded with work that has piled up since I was away. First on my agenda is the 2nd part of the Haier media trip that took place last month. Check out more photos (17 of them, to be exact) of the Haier showroom and surroundings after the jump.

I love this bottom-top shot of the Haier showroom dome. The stained glass reminds me of a cathedral.

While the ground floors are mostly for administrative duties, the top levels consist of various showrooms, each floor with dedicated showrooms for various products. They even have a showroom for all the prizes and awards that they've accumulated!
Huge award recognition from Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao for being one of the top 100 global brands in the world. They're mighty proud of this one as it's the first (and largest) award that you'll see when you enter the Prize/Awards showroom.

Another award, this time for being the number 1 Chinese brand that's recognized globally.

Haier's uHome concept digital home lifestyle. I wonder how long will it be until all of Malaysia will be able to enjoy digital lifestyle homes?

Haier also has several concept homes for different lifestyles, such as for Western-style dining areas that are catered towards the American and European markets. Pictured here is the 'Asian' concept home, designed to be a little shorter and compact to fit the typical Asian living standards.

Fridges! Lots of fridges! I think some of these models are already available in the Malaysian market.

Some of the new Haier washing machine models to pioneer the 'detergent-free' washing technology. Hmm, I wonder how well it would do in removing the curry stains from my T-shirts and pants after visiting a mamak stall?

Oh man, my old house back in Johor used to have a similar aircon model. I really miss the wooden panel finish.

I've seen quite a number of these in some airports, including Malaysia. Unfortunately I don't think the Malaysian ones are properly scaled to size, so they look kinda weird.
An educational TV specially designed for children. Haier fondly calls it the 'Frog TV'. Reminds me of those old Donkey Kong Jr. Math games I used to play when I was 10. XD
Haier also produce other stuff than electronics, such as these pills to help assist against osteoporosis. O_o

Hopefully some of these notebook models will make their way here soon - I'm itching to test them.

On the top floor of the Haier Showroom building, there's a balcony that leads to a magnificent birds-eye view of the Haier assembly factories. Awesome view.

A view of just outside the main entrance.

Finally, a picture of the large grounds just outside the main showroom. It's very nicely-maintained. I wonder if the public is allowed to wander around here?
Well, that's a wrap of this special 2-parter pictorial blogs on the Haier media trip! Next month there will be a feature article on Haier, so look forward to it! :)
