Envy the new Samsung digital cameras~

Samsung seems raring to go after Canon and Nikon - they just launched their new range of Samsung NV digital cameras, which will be targeted towards mainstream consumers. Maybe it's me but they've a classic-retro camera look to them, especially the NV10 and its pop-up flash. They're very purty-looking though, and I wouldn't mind upgrading my old Canon IXUS 30.

Thing is, they've an interface with like a dozen tiny touch-sensitive buttons on the back, which I ain't too crazy about. Still, can't deny that they perform well and look sleek too. Anyway, here are a few more shots to whet your appetite.

Most of Samsung Malaysia and Southeast Asia main executive personel were there for the launch.

Members of the press got to try the new Samsung digital cameras for themselves.

This particular Samsung NV3 digital camera model is also a PMP, with stereo speakers for MP3 music and the capability to play MPEG4 movie clips. And the picture quality ain't half-bad too. Impressive.

You can even connect the NV3 to a TV to playback media files. Nice.

The Samsung NV10 with a 10.1 MP 1/1.8"CCD and Schneider-KREUZNACH lens. Going price only RM1499 - quite reasonable, and the classic look is very appealing.
