Computex 2007 (Day 1)

FatCatLim | 21 July, 2008 10:50

I shudder to think what the Computex 2007 mascots actually are, especially with the giant arrows pointing to their crotches. Click the jump for more pics.

A birds-eye view of the various booths in Hall 1 of Computex. Since there're so many distributors and manufacturers, Computex is spread out to 4 halls of the Taipei World Trade Center. The nearby Grand Hyatt Hotel also play host to a number of exhibitors who save money by hosting it in meeting rooms or suites.

The crowd starts to pick up during the day, especially when it started to rain.

NVIDIA proudly shows off the various motherboards and graphic cards from their various partners.

Genius has a new mouse where instead of a scroll mouse button, it's replaced with a touch-sensitive OptoWheel scroll area. It feels very cool, and the turbo scroll was on-spot. Very nice.

The Kingston booth had a Taipei 101 replica made out of their HyperX ram sticks! Nifty.

Leadtek has a custom liquid cooling module system for the 8800 GTX called Levithian. For now it can only cool one card but as this setup shows, it's quite capable of cooling an SLI 8800 GTX. *drools*

~Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Fatal1ty Street?~

Whoever commissioned the marriage proposal on the Taipei 101 must have a boatload of money.

Authentic Taiwanese stirfry black pepper beef noodles! Simple, but really tasty.
