This is the Time T-shirt: a new fun way of telling time.

Stick Your Finger The Easy Way

LordM | 13 October, 2006 15:17

Ye, I am one of those who would just like a gadget that can show fellow drivers that I don't like their continuous honking or their annoying driving antics. But of course, I don't want to offend anyone by rolling down my window, lift "that" finger up, and wave it continously until they get the message. Isn't there any other way for me to do "it"???!??!

Now, with Flicking the Bird, you can do that gesture whenever, wherever with ease.

The Flick'n the Bird Pump Up Finger is an inflatable hand that you can stick to your car window.

The Smallest Cellular Phone (Can Be Found In China)

LordM | 26 September, 2006 11:14

I have seen countless cellular phones in the market today ranging from big bulky ones, to small, lightweight ones. However, nothing tops this new "small" cellular phone from China...

It weighs only 55g and is only 6.7cm in length.

It's called Xun Chi 138, a fully-functional touchscreen phone.

The Best Rechargable Battery!

LordM | 21 September, 2006 20:23

I have seen a lot of rechargable batteries in the market, but I think nothing tops this new product I've seen as I was checking out the web.

It's called the USBCell, and it would probably change the way you perceive rechargable batteries.

At a first glance, it looks just like an ordinary rechargable battery.

Well, then why would I blog all about it if it's nothing special? :)

Charge Your Phone Without A Charger (Well, Sort Of.)

LordM | 20 September, 2006 15:04

You guys probably use your cellular phones as much as I do. I personally do not turn off my mobile phone as I have friends from abroad who text or call me during the wee hours of the morning.

And even if I bring along my charger to work, there are actually *those* times wherein I forget to juice-up my mobile phone, leaving me high and dry when I really need to call or text. Luckily, there is a new product out that can charge up my cellphone anytime, anywhere.

It's called the Mobcharger, an portable pocket charger for any mobile phone.

CD Review: Under an Iron Sea

DidipusRex | 19 September, 2006 15:39

SAD BASTARD MUSIC IS THE NEW SENTI.

If you happen to receive a copy of Keane’s new album from your favorite aunt or parish priest, immediately file it under the genre 'sad bastard music.' There are times when you want to hear a plaintive honesty that comes from a far deeper wellspring than your usual ghetto palace crib and it would be good to keep this CD where it's easy to find. There is such a thing as 'too much honesty' and methinks this album suffers from it.

It takes a certain mood to be able to listen to this album straight. Say your girlfriend of six years leaves you for your rich dad or your best friend runs off with your mother. Times when you need a Juicy. This is the type of stuff you can be sure Nick Lachey doesn't want to hear when he reminisces about Jessica or the current state of his career. If you're depressed and have a bottle of Valium in the medicine cabinet, stay away from this CD. Bad things might happen.

CD Review: Timeless

DidipusRex | 19 September, 2006 15:25

A SERGIO MENDES ALBUM WITH VERY LITTLE SERGIO MENDES

In the late sixties to mid-seventies, Sergio Mendes was the biggest cultural export of Brazil, introducing the world-at-large to samba and bossanova. An entire generation of children were weaned on Sergio Mendes records playing on their parents' hi-fis. Those children are all grown up now, with children of their own. Almost four decades removed from the days when Brazilian music was truly exotic, this generation parties to the beats of acts like Fifty Cent, Pussy Cat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas. For them, Mais Que Nada is elevator music, or something you'd hear when you're put on hold.

The music of Sergio Mendes is timeless. This new album is not.

CD Review: High School Musical OST

DidipusRex | 19 September, 2006 15:00

FORMULAIC, SAFE AND SAPPY, THIS ALBUM DELIVERS GUILTY PLEASURES

Even though a lot of my high school classmates were members of the theater guild, I don't remember high school being anywhere near as musical as the one in High School Musical. Nobody broke out into song in the cafeteria. There was no dancing in the halls. Heck, all we could probably manage for entertainment was a dirty joke and a half. Still, give a listen to the High School Musical OST and you just might be fooled.

This OST works best in the context of the movie it hails from, a Disney Channel Original Movie that you can't seem to escape from. I've seen it rerun ad infinitum on cable. I've seen desperate parents buy bootleg DVDs of High School Musical from the bowels of Makati Cinema Square to placate their kids. My two and a half year old nephew flatly refuses to eat his lunch without Troy and Gabriella's audition scene playing on the telly. A pretty colleague of mine even sings along to Breaking Free after banging her head to Rob Zombie (unbelievable, but true). To ape a thought from The Matrix, this OST is inevitable, like the drunken shenanigans of Disney doyen La Lohan AKA Firecrotch or the monthly waning of the moon.

Cheaters ALWAYS Win! (An Interview With A Cheater)

LordM | 19 September, 2006 11:55

I have been playing a lot of MMORPGs and games extensively for the past few years. And, apart from the sheer exhilaration I get from playing these games, I also get really annoyed with people who resort to cheating.

From hex runes and map hacks in Diablo, to aimbots, speed hacks, and map hacks in CS or Battlefield - these cheaters go out of their way to purchase, download, and install hacks on their PC to gain a very unfair advantage.

Yes, I too have had my fair share of cheating... When I get stuck (or die pertually) in a PS2 game, I immediately read my favorite faq website: http://www.gamefaqs.com. Better yet, I just download a couple of codes for my Gameshark application (infinite lives and ammo, etc.) and play the game without worries. What I DON'T do however, is to get hacks/mods/bots for any online game that I'm playing (or played before) as it defeats the purpose of enjoying it.

However, this is not the case for chronic cheaters...

Can't Figure Out What's Wrong With Your PC? Diagnose Your Ram

LordM | 15 September, 2006 12:30

I recently had a problem with my PC at home. Sometimes it works okay, but there are some times wherein my PC crashes while I am playing online games. I thought that it was a software problem so I decided to reformat my PC after backing everything up.

However, it didn't really help as my computer still crashed without warning. This prompted me to check everything:

- Latest drivers? Check.

- Video card? (Is the fan running? Is it overheating?) Check.

- Motherboard? (Latest BIOS version?) Check.

- Latest updates for OS? Check.

- RAM? Check.

Hmmm. RAM? Honestly, how would know if your RAM is in tip-top shape or the exact opposite?

Man Kills A Child Over Video Game

LordM | 15 September, 2006 11:37

Sad to find out that people resort to violence just because of a video game...

In Philadephia, a 25-year old man has been charged with murder. The person he killed - his 17-month old daughter.

The reason: His daughter apparently pulled the cords of his gaming console, causing it to fall down. He was so upset and wanted "someone" to pay for all the troubles. Sooooo, he punched his daughter twice and slung his daughter over a chair.

All I can say is... What is happening?

According to NBC news: His wife said that she fell in love with a man who had never been violent before, and she wanted to know what would possess someone to kill a child.

The link can be found on this link.
